Library Working Hours:

Monday-Friday – 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Books are segregated in Lending and Reference sections.
  • Currently, the Library holds collection of 25000+ books which include textbooks as well as reference books and general light reading books.
  • We subscribe to Engineering journals (Hard copies) and to Delnet website.
  • Our Library is the member of DELNET (Developing Library Network) which facilitates to access the DELNET database which comprises a union catalogue of member libraries and conference/seminar proceedings relating to all fields of engineering studies.
  • Newspapers are also made available for references.

  • Students are issued 2 Library Cards and they are allowed to borrow 2 books at a time for 10 days duration.
  • Students can refer a book in the library keeping their I-Card.
  • Library cards are NOT transferrable.
  • SC/ST students have book bank facility funded by the Government.
  • No student will be allowed to sit in the Library without uniform.
  • Every reader shall present his/her identity card on demand by the library staff.
  • Loud talking conversations, etc are strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Silence and discipline are to be strictly maintained in the library.
  • Students are allowed to borrow 2 booksat a time on their account.
  • While borrowing a book from the library the card holder should sign on book card. Library cards are NOT transferrable.
  • Students have to renewtheir library cards every year.
  • Detained students will not be issued any books.
  • Books will be issued on the presentation of the library card. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and they will be responsible for any type of damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
  • Students are required to handle the books/journals very carefully; marking with pencil, writing, or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously. In such case, reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.

Validity of cards:

  • An amount of Rs.20/- per card will be charged for a new library card at the time of joining the course and Rs.50/- for a duplicate card.
  • Duplicate card will be issued on submission of application stating that Library card is lost and that he/she shall be responsible in case if it is misused.
  • Library borrower cards are valid for the respective academic year only. Students have to submit their all-borrower cards to the library for renewal every year.

Overdue Charges:
For student’s books borrowing period is of 10 days. After the due date for returning a book, a fine of Re. 1/- per day will be charged for the first ten days. From the eleventh day onwards the fine levied will be Rs. 5/- per day.

Book Lost:
A borrower is allowed to either replace the book lost/damaged by purchasing it himself or paying current cost of book with ten percent service charges and overdue of the book if any.

No due Certificate:
Each student shall obtain No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued, surrendering the borrower’s cards and after paying outstanding dues if any at the time of leaving or completion of the course.
