About Training & Placement

The Training and Placement Office of Agnel Polytechnic Verna, has been that vital linkage between the academia and the industry. It is the endeavor of the Training and Placement Officer and his team to add value to the students’ academic learning by engaging with industry professionals to provide them the much-needed exposure to Industry and Corporate work culture and in doing so meeting the industry needs of trained manpower who are productive in the shortest span of time with minimal retraining and orientation. The academic year 2023-24 has been an eventful one with the Training and Placement Officer and the team having successfully carried out several activities in three broad domains:

1. Internship and in plant training.
2. Guest lectures, seminars, and field visits.
3. Campus Placements.

Two of our Diploma programs i.e. Diploma in Civil Engineering (Construction Technology) and Diploma in Automobile Engineering are of sandwich pattern with the students undergoing two full semesters i.e. 5^th and 8^th semester of on the job in plant training which has proved to be highly beneficial to the students and this training has changed the perspective of the students.

As part of The Board of Technical Education curriculum, students of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Computer Engineering have undergone a mandatory 8-week training at leading Mechanical, Electronics and IT companies.

With effect from academic year 2024-25 Diploma in Civil Engineering stands changed to a three-year Program and Diploma in Electronic Engineering is changed to Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Students in both these programs will undergo a mandatory 8-weeks training at Industry.

1. Counseling of final year students regarding job opportunities and importance of campus selection process
2. To train students regarding preparation of interviews, online test etc. through expert talks and mock test.
3. To invite industries for campus selection process.
4. To assist the Departments in conducting inplant training.
